Sales and Marketing Trainee


Our client, a Renewable Energy organization which deals in various renewable energy solutions for off the grid communities, is looking for young school levers who are energetic, creative, hardworking, proactive people. These must be people who are looking for an opportunity to gain serious market experience in Sales and Marketing.

Main Responsibilities

The Sales and Marketing Trainee will be responsible for driving all project awareness, retention, marketing actives, and assisting in client sales handling. These people will work closely with the Sales and Marketing team and will report to the Project Manager.

Key Responsibilities;

  • Develop Sales and marketing strategies (market road map)
  • Develop and execute customer awareness programs
  • Develop and manage customer leads and prospect database
  • Interact with customers (rural and peri urban) and collect feedback from them on how products are performing
  • Create rapport with decision makers and influencers in the communities
  • Train users on use of solar lights and cook stoves
  • Provide demonstrations where necessary in public places
  • Ensure set sales targets are adhered to and customer sales cycles are completed on time
  • Coordinate sales for B2C (direct consumers) and B2B (distributors) of the products
  • Ensure customers are happy with product and collect referrals from them
  • Provide feedback with regards to product improvement

  • Diploma in Sales/ Marketing or relevant field with a strong academic record.
  • Good understanding of Sale and Marketing dynamics etc
  • Good understanding in metal work activities, preferably having done a metal work course in high school
  • High proficiency in computer skills
  • Ability to prepare and present reports.
  • Good customer relations and interactive skills
  • Good leadership skills and ability to work in a team
  • High integrity and ability to work with minimum supervision.
  • Willingness to travel widely and be posted to any location in the country.
