EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITY – HUMAN RESOURCES AND ADMINISTRATION OFFICER

The Pensions and Insurance Authority (PIA) is the regulatory and supervisory Authority for the Pensions and Insurance Industry in Zambia. The entities operating in the pensions and insurance market include among others; insurance companies, reinsurance companies, insurance intermediaries, pension schemes, fund managers and fund administrators.

As part of expansion programme, the Authority hereby invites applications from suitably qualified, self-driven and experienced candidates to fill the position of Human Resources and Administration Officer.

Overall responsibilities:

Reporting to the Manager – Human Resources and Administration the Officer shall assists in the undertaking of the human resource functions for purposes of achieving the Authority’s objectives and goal.

Specific duties: –

  • Planning, developing and administration of human resources and administration policies, strategies and plans.
  • Proposing human resource and administration budgets towards the compilation of the annual budget.
  • Advising Management on human resources Laws and policies.
  • Participating in the evaluation and assessment of the institution’s human resources requirements.
  • Conducting reviews on compensation administration and coordinating bargaining processes.
  • Reviewing and attending to office administration including transport, safety, security, stores and registry.

Qualifications

  • GCE O Level Certificate with passes in English and Mathematics.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management or related discipline.
  • Minimum of 5years experience in a reputable organization.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, problem solving, mentoring, coaching, organizational and coordination skills.
  • A member of Zambia Institute of Human Resources Management
