Systems Architect

The National Pension Scheme Authority (NAPSA) wishes to fill the position

1.0 Systems Architect – NC04 (Three Year Fixed Term Contract): Head
Office (Re-advertised)

1.1 Main Purpose of Job

The Systems Architect is responsible for the translation of the requirements created by Business Analysts into the architectural view and guides solution choices to ensure the solutions address the needs of the business. The position dictates technical standards, tools and platforms to be employed in each project.
1.2 Key Responsibilities

(a) Develop and maintain Logical Application Architecture (LAA) for the Authority that provides a sound platform for the delivery of IT support that enhances efficiency and effectiveness in the administration of member funds.
(b) Develop a technical blueprint for each solution by converting BRS into the architecture and design document to support ease in information access and prevent unintegrated systems proliferation.
(c) Give input into the programme portfolio construction with the aim of utilising the existing technologies as far as possible
(d) Develop and oversee the implementation of the Authority’s Cloud Architecture and Strategy in order to enhance the storage of the NAPSA data that is critical in the administration of member funds.
(e) Develop and oversee the implementation of the Authority’s Data Archiving and Retention strategy to NAPSA data is available, accessible and secure at all times.
(f) Provide guidance to the entire development team during the systems development life cycle to ensure the systems developed are of high quality and address the business needs of the Authority.

1.3 Qualifications and Experience

  • Grade 12 Certificate with 5 ‘O’ levels with credit or better in Mathematics and English.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or equivalent  Relevant IT Certification
  • Not less than four (4) years of relevant IT experience at a similar level in an organisation of similar size
