Supply Coordinator

Job Purpose:

  • Manage the supply of all products (white and heavy fuels and Lubricants)
  • Manage the interface with Supplier

Principal Accountabilities:

  • Manage Fuels supply for local market from Tazama Terminals and through importation
  • Manage supply of lubricant through importations in coordination with central Supply chain function.
  • Optimise stock days without compromising the customer’s requirements
  • Build a constructive relationship with the Tazama to maximise supply opportunities for Vivo Energy Zambia and to manage proactively all supply interruption from Tazama Terminals.
  • Ensure a strong follow up of Product invoices payments, Throughput fees and Uniform Pump price (UPP) recovery.
  • Play an active role in demand forecast meeting
  • Provide assurance on stock management and valuation.
  • Accountable of all process and operations in Lubricants warehouse in Kitwe.   
  • Ensure and provide the right support to transit function in order to fulfil all transactions in line with custom regulation.
  • Follow-up with clearing agent to ensure smooth and efficient clearing of imports.
  • Play an active role within Distribution team in order to achieve HSSE and operational excellence objectives
  • Ensure Market intelligence in order to provide a constructive support to keep Distribution master plan up-to-date.
  • Promote team work within Distribution and with internal customer
  • Coach, motivate and develop the supply team, in particular raising competency levels and ensuring robust talent.

Job Knowledge, Skills & Experience:

  • Bachelors degree in Engineering or equivalent
  • 5 years or more experience in Supply and Distribution activities
  • Very good skill in planning
  • Good knowledge of local market supply issues.
  • Ability to manage complexity and to make decision when required even with minimum information and some uncertainties
