Our Lodge on the Copper belt seeks to recruit a Bar Attendant to join the team.

As the Bar Attender you will responsible for the following duties

Key Responsibilities

• Welcoming customers, reading and listening to people to determine beverage preferences, making recommendations, and taking drink orders.
• Planning drink menus and informing customers about new beverages and specials.
• Selecting and mixing ingredients, garnishing glasses, and serving beverages to customers.
• Checking identification to ensure customers are the legal age to purchase alcohol.
• Taking inventory and ordering supplies to ensure bar and tables are well-stocked.
• Adhering to all food safety and quality regulations.
• Handling credit, and debit card transactions, ensuring charges are accurate and returning correct change to patrons
• Maintaining a clean work and dining area by removing trash, cleaning tables, and washing glasses, utensils, and equipment.
• Developing new cocktail recipes.
• Positive, engaging personality and professional appearance.
• Availability to work nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Understanding of drink mixing tools and techniques

Requirements

• Full Grade Twelve Certificate
• Availability to work late hours, weekends, and holidays.
• Basic math and computer skills.
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
• Strong task and time management abilities.
• Understanding of drink mixing tools and techniques.
• At least 3 years of experience in food and beverage or similar role
• Customer oriented approach
• Excellent communication, interpersonal and leadership skills
• Critical thinker and problem-solving skills
• Team player
• Good organizational and time-management skills
• A minimum requirement of a certificate in food and beverages and hospitality management is a must.
