Human Resource Supervisor

I. Key job duties:

  1. HR teaming building and policy system construction: assist Chinese HR manager to establish local HR team and draft all HR relative policies according to local laws.
  2. Recruitment management: explore recruiting channels to post positions, screen CVs, organize interviews and induct fresh employees getting on-board.
  3. Compensation management: monthly salary calculation and payment, and all compulsory registration and tax payment.
  4. Regulation documents management: follow the HQ requirements to establish and update all regulation documents, especially for monthly personnel reports and contracts.
  5. Leave and disciplinary management: record staff attendance and leave information and assist all department managers with disciplinary management.
  6. Outsourcing business management: manage all above work to deal with outsourcing business.

II. Key qualification and competency

  1. Education background: MA/BA degree in HRM major or related disciplines, like OD, Psychology, Law and Statistics; excellent English language speaking.
  2. Work experience: at least 5+ HRM field work experience in medium/large local/international company or platform, familiar with Zambian Labour Law and regulations and all HRM section work rules and skills.
  3. Key abilities: good communication, anti-pressure, inter-personal relationship management, excel operation skills, and excellent HRM awareness of sensitivity and confidentiality.

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor and maintain processes and procedures for measuring the impact of learning and development activities.
  • Create the talent development strategy for the organization.
  • Review MTN Zambia strategic and annual plans, performance appraisal results for the company and Individual Development Plans (IDPs).
  • Provide support to the business in the preparation of talent profiles and development plans.
  • Develop and manage MTN Zambia talent management processes and procedures for all staff.
  • Provide support to the line managers for the implementation of the Integrated Performance Framework activities.
  • Facilitate restructuring projects and ensure compliance with organization design and change management methodologies.
  • Maintain current versions of approved organogram and liaise with departments for the preparation of job profiles and evaluations according to Group standards.
  • Manage the MTN Zambia Wellness and Recognition Programmes

Candidate Requirements

  • Bachelors Degree in Human Resource Management, Industrial Psychology or Business Administration.
  • A Masters degree in Human Resources Management an added advantage
  • Member of the Zambia Institute of Human Resources Management (ZIHRM)
  • Minimum of 7 years experience in HR with Experience in Learning & Development, Performance Management and Organisation Design

Lead BackEnd Engineer

Collectively, we have worked for well-known companies and organisations such as UNHCR, London School of Economics, British Airways, Royal Bank of Scotland, and Riot Games. We are distributed team, between the UK and Zambia.

We are now hiring for a an experienced, talented and driven lead back-end engineer to hit the ground running in developing our core systems that are responsible for integrating to banking partners and serving secure, well tested API’s to our mobile apps, as well as maintaining and improving our unique USSD financial education platform for emerging markets.

Our tech stack is made up of Node.js, Mongo, Express, MySQL, Redis, Vue/Angular on the front-end, AWS, GCP, Jest, and we use Gulp and Webpack to build.

Requirements:

  • Strong experience with Javascript (ES5/6)
  • Strong experience with Node.js
  • You love working with NoSQL and SQL DB’s (Mongo/MySQL) and you know the difference of when to use each
  • You have tons of experience in writing, testing, and consuming APIs (REST and SOAP)
  • Secure APIs are second nature to you
  • Good fundamentals in clean code, clean design, and data structures
  • AWS Experience (EC2/ELB/Route53)
  • You are proactive, self-managing, and comfortable assuming full ownership of your builds
  • You must have experience in TDD/Unit Testing
  • Linux experience is a bonus
  • Distributed systems is a bonus
  • GCP is a bonus

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Identifying training and development needs necessary to the program

COUNSELLOR

Job Summary

The employee is to provide support to the Head of Counseling in the Counseling Department. This entails making sure that all procedures are followed correctly to ensure that the organization works in accordance with the law. The employee will also carry out any administrative duties required, and ensure that they work both efficiently and effectively. The incumbent will develop a plan on how to assist the client and recommend and perform counseling for children who exhibit emotional distress, and follow up on client’s progress.




Specific Responsibilities/Functions

  • Interacting with the children daily and counseling them when the need arises.
  • Carry out assessments on the children and check on their emotional health.
  • Negotiate and resolve complicated issues between children with other children, guardians and the organization, house parents and the children, as well as children and the organization.
  • Compile weekly reports for the Counseling Department on the progress of your clients.
