Our client, in the Mining Services Sector is looking to hire the following roles to be based in Kolwezi in the Katanga Province of the Democratic Republic of Congo.

Marketing Manager x 1

Key Responsibilities:

  • Draw up and implement the company’s marketing strategy
  • Define the medium long term strategy for all the company’s products
  • Participate in the determination of commercial objectives
  • Recruit, organize, motivate and supervise a team
  • Design product, price and communication (advertising, promotion) policies and select the agencies responsible for their implementation.
  • Draw up and manage services budget
  • Carry out a creative and technological watch with a view to suggest new solutions.
  • Defines the organization of the team, participate and /or validate recruitment and ensure the development of skills.
  • Draw up budget for area of activity and monitor it.
  • Suggest any collective action to improve the effectiveness of the plans.
  • Laisse the marketing department with the editorial, the distribution, sale, communication, etc.
  • Create and maintain relations of trust and partnership with customers and the company’s various departments.
  • Compile and present information at the editorial, commercial and marketing meetings.
  • Internal point of contact for employees and department managers
  • Customer point of contact
  • Compliance with schedules
  • Presentation of clear marketing strategy adapted to the challenges of the CE business
  • Draw up departmental budget
  • Monthly reporting of activities curried out.

Desired Skills, Qualifications and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing
  • Candidates must be bilingual (English/French), knowing Swahili is a plus
  • Various Certifications in continuing education in marketing
  • 5 years minimum working experience in a marketing role
  • Master strategic marketing tolls, qualitative and quantitative research techniques and the editorial chain in order to understand the issues and constraints.
  • Ability to apply web marketing and e-commerce techniques (prospecting, referencing, responsive design) and a creative technological watch methodology on the evolution of marketing media and formats.
  • Articulated communicator
  • Autonomous and responsible, able to make decision
  • Leadership ability to lead work meetings
  • Excellent observation, analysis and synthesis skills
  • Pedagogical, able to explain the reason for actions and to train employees.
