Position Offered

National Sales Manager

Position Description

This position reports to the General Manager. We are seeking to hire a dynamic Sales Manager who will be responsible for developing and supervising our sales team. You will be responsible for developing business plans, meeting planned sales targets, and coordinating with our marketing department to ensure synergy. You will also be tasked with overseeing the activities and performance of your depots and sales teams and will facilitate the ongoing training of your salespeople.


  • Overseeing the sales department, depots and leading the sales team
  • Setting national and regional sales targets and managing the sales team to meet company sales target by ensuring optimal plans are in place and contribute to the development of distribution strategies that will ensure market penetration
  • To identify, plan and execute training for sales teams to impart necessary skills
  • To plan, budget, monitor and control the departmental budget
  • To generate timely and accurate sales reports for analysis and decision making
  • To establish and maintain beneficial business relationships with customers and suppliers
  • To supply market intelligence, identify and recommend ways for the company to keep abreast with current market requirements
  • Conduct regular field visits to assess sales opportunities
  • Assign sales territories and establish training programs for the sales team
  • Review sales target and performance of the team on a weekly basis

Qualifications & Experience

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience developing a successful sales department in a leading FMCG company
  • Master in Business Administration, marketing or equivalent qualifications
  • Computer skills including knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Excellent communication skills
