A position has become available for an IT Support Technician to join our dynamic team.

The duties of an Technician include being a reference point for all IT related queries at the user level, responding to user needs promptly and ensuring the optimal running of all systems, among other technical duties.

The Technician is expected to display excellent interpersonal skills as they will interact with staff from various customers. They are required to listen to their technical needs, understand their problems and implement solutions to them.


The position is part-time at the moment, supporting our Zambia-based customers on-demand. Based on performance, the contract will become permanent.

Duties & Responsibilities

Installing and configuring hardware and software components to ensure usability.
Troubleshooting hardware and software issues.
Repairing or replacing damaged hardware.
Performing tests and evaluations of new software and hardware.
Providing support to users and being the first point of contact for error reporting.
Establishing good relationships with all customers and colleagues.
Conducting daily system checks and maintenance operations.
Managing technical documentation work with 3rd party vendors for system support.

Desired Experience & Qualification

Experience in computer networks and systems maintenance.
A+, Network+, Linux+, Microsoft, Sophos or Cisco Certification advantageous.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Good interpersonal skills.
Attention to detail.
Good problem-solving skills.
Own transport advantageous.
