Job Description

Coca-Cola Beverages Africa (CCBA) presents an exciting opportunity for an experienced Country Channel & Trade Marketing (Zambia), to join the CCBA Country Commercial Team. The successful applicant will be reporting into Country Commercial. Coca-Cola Beverages Africa is the largest African Coca-Cola bottler, accounting for 40 percent of all Coca-Cola volumes on the continent. CCBA is a NARTD market leader in Africa. CCBA has an extensive footprint in Africa, employing over 16.000 employees. CCBA vision is to Refresh Africa every day and make the continent a better place for all, growing successfully as business and creating a better shared future for our people, customers, consumers, communities, planet and shareholders. The role will contribute to CCBA vision by developing and implementing a winning channel strategy, driving system and customer value and leading local operational Channel and Trade Marketing strategies.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

Develop and execute Channel & Trade Marketing Plans in the country. Deliver superior brand activation, shopper and channel strategies and plans. Generate promotional execution strategies to support sales and maximize revenue growth Communicate brand activation plans to channel regional and national key account sales teams to ensure superior in store execution Develop trade marketing tools and equipment to support sales teams by category by region Execute short and long-term revenue growth strategies for local customers. Build capability with field sales force. Provide leadership, coaching and capability development programs. Build superior knowledge and understanding of the market including shoppers, consumers, customers categories and competitors. Develop Key Customer Service Drivers to enable revenue growth and margin expansion Align Market Development KPI’s and support execution by sales teams Support Digitalisation agenda including CIC, E-Commerce and Omnichannel Strategy Align with the AOU on OBM messaging development for the respective channels targeting the right shoppers and consumers. Analyze, evaluate and communicate the category performance across channels and customers. Work in a cross functional team to develop the Look of Success by developing the execution point of purchase by channel.

Skills, Experience & Education

Qualifications: Bachelors Degree: Finance, Economics or Business Administration Post Graduate Qualification advantageous Experience: 10+ years of experience in Commercial and Marketing areas Proven broad Commercial experience including Channel & Trade Marketing Strong understanding of the macro business environment In-depth understanding of the country beverage market and understanding and appreciation of the competitive and competitor environment Significant experience and/or exposure to development and implementation of business strategy with strong expertise in brand marketing, innovation process, strategy development, market segmentation and insights, market research Proven experience in insight channel development, Experience aligning stakeholders cross-functionally and between markets and center. Experience working across multiple markets required, preferably including experience in emerging markets.
