Plan International Zambia is streamlining some of its work processes in order to be more effective. In delivery of Information Technology services, we are looking to incorporate IT Support Service Contractors to work at each office located in Lusaka, Chipata, Kabwe and Mansa to provide us lower to midlevel end user and technical IT support when an IT staff is not available or committed to other IT works.

The general IT support we shall need from such companies will cover: –

1.    Local Area Network Support

2.    Internet Connectivity link testing and support

3.    Computer Hardware troubleshooting (Laptop, Desktop, Server failure, Active Directory Support, Printer, Scanner Fault support and associated IT equipment)

4.    Computer Boot Failure

5.    Cable Connection Faults

6.    Projector Fault

7.    Support Windows Server 2012 R2, Server 2016 and Server 2019 Operating Systems

8.    Support Windows 7, and Windows 10 Operating Systems

9.    Support Configuring, setup testing and user guidance on SAP and other Plan Corporate Systems (after a technical induction)

10.  Projector Connection Fault

11.  Group Online Meeting Equipment Failure in the Board/Conference Room as well as Microsoft Teams and all Microsoft Office and Windows Systems

12.  Power Failure in the Server Room

13.  Cisco Router Equipment Faults and Testing

14.  MTN and Liquid 4G Router testing

15.  MiFi and Sim card fault testing

16.  Equipment Service Support

17.  Support Internet Explorer, Windows Edge, Chrome, Firefox Browsers

18.  Support Google Search Engine, Bing

19.   General End User Support as per Plan Email Request

20.  Be expected to travel to other Plan Offices for Meeting/Official Assignments when needed at Plan Staff travel conditions

21.  Monthly Summary Activity Reports on IT Services Performed with associated invoices of completed jobs for certification and payment

3 Browser Homepage set to Planapps

4 EDGE/CHROME compatibility settings for SAP and SAP BI and Other Planapps

5 Install Plan Fonts

6 Connect User to OFFLINE Shared Folders

7 AllwaySync and Configuration/ Folder redirect OR Home Folder Redirection

8 Home Page Setup for www.planapps.org (All Browsers)

9 Deploy Patching (WSUS for Microsoft) and other Apps

10 HDDs is encrypted and Encryption Key available on OneDrive ICT Work Folder

11 Update the Hardware Inventory with IT Accessories and User Details

12 Update the Hardware Inventory with IT Accessories Disposals and Transfers Details

13 Optimize startup programs (Minimize)

14 Install Scanner on all user computers and server

15 Install Printer on all user computers and servers

16 Updating and Patching Servers and user computers (using WSUS and others tools)

Quarterly Preventive Maintenance & Inventory Verification

1 All Desktops are in Good Clean work conditions (Dusting off, Blowing, Cleaning)

2 Shared Scanners and printers Installed on one Server  for user Installation

3 Firm ware Update on all Laptops

4 Firm ware Update on all Scanners

5 Firmware Updates on all Desktops and Servers

6 Firmware Updates on all Cisco Routers and Fire Wall equipment

7 All HDDs are healthy and Defragmented

8 All HDDs Have 30% or more HDD Free Space and alert for any deviation

9 All Laptops, Computers and Servers have the minimum of 8GB RAM and fast

10 Propose replacements

11 General maintenance of Computers and allied equipment

THE FOLLOWING REQUIREMENTS ARE APPLICABLE TO ALL INTERESTED IT. COMPANIES:

1.    THE SUPPLIER SHOULD BE LOCALY BASED EITHER IN KABWE, CHIPATA OR LUAPULA

2.    THE SUPPLIER SHOULD HAVE A BACKGROUND OF IT. SUPPLIES AND SERVICES.

3.    THE SUPPLIER SHOULD BE A FULLY REGISTERED COMPANY.

4.    THE SUPPLIER SHOULD BE ABLE TO RESPOND TO MAINTENACE AND SERVICE CALLS.
