Laura & Partners Consulting Limited is supporting its client in the logistics industry to employ a competent and qualified Manager for the Copper-belt region.

Job Summary

The Copper-belt Manager will report to the Managing Director. S/he will be responsible for overseeing operations, administration and sales for the copper-belt offices. This will entail:

  1. Maintaining and increasing sales for copper belt
  2. Reaching the targets and goals set for your area
  3. Establishing, maintaining and expanding your customer base
  4. Servicing the needs of your existing customers
  5. Increasing business opportunities through various routes to market
  6. Setting sales targets for individual reps and your team as a whole
  7. Allocating areas to sales representatives
  8. Developing sales strategies and setting targets
  9. Monitoring your team’s performance and motivating them to reach targets
  10. Possibly dealing with some major customer accounts yourself
  11. Collecting customer feedback and market research
  12. Keeping up to date with products and competitors
  13. Recruiting and training of staff

Key Attributes & Skills

  1. Ability and temperament to work with details and time pressure.
  2. Interpersonal skills to communicate with others and to effectively and clearly communicate via radio and telephone.
  3. Demonstrate attention to detail and decision-making skills to respond to high-pressure situations.
  4. Demonstrate time management skills to plan, manage, and coordinate the dispatch of multiple people over a sustained period of time.
  5. Needs to be organized and detail oriented with a professional attitude.

Qualifications & Experience

  1. Grade 12 certificate;
  2. Degree in Business management or other equivalent field;
  3. Appropriate management courses and qualifications;
  4. Five years’ experience in the contact center environment.
  5. Two years’ experience in a contact center management position, preceded by a junior management/ Team Leader role;
  6. Experience in a multinational company and in dealing with different cultures;
  7. Proven experience and knowledge in effective training, coaching and people management practices, including leadership development;
