1. PURPOSE OF THE JOB:

To provide dignified, compassionate and caring funeral related services to the Funeral Services Group.

2. KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS:

• Daily vehicle checks e.g oils, water, tyres etc
• Reporting all maintenance issues with regards to machinery and vehicles to management
• Conduct funerals locally and across the country
• Assist with mortuary activities whenever required to do so
• Ensure that the company equipment is fully cared for
• Assist in liaison with the public and hospitals in terms of efficient collection of bodies
• Assist in pro-active preparation of schedules
• Ensure that there is good communication amongst the drivers, mortuary attendants and receptionists
• Report on all issues affecting the drivers’ environment
• To provide VIP service/products to customers, take control of and lead the procession
• To maintain good image and ensure that drivers are well uniformed and funeral schedules are fully followed
• Provide logistic support to the operations department.
• Responsible for tracking company fleet of vehicles on Geotab on a daily basis.
• Manage inventory of company fleet.

3. EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Relevant certificates/diploma and good practical experience in the transport industry
• Clean driver’s licence for over 5 years or more.

• Must be mature, calm, neat and presentable
• Good supervision skill
• Highly assertive
