ROLE PROFILE

Reload Logistics is currently seeking for suitable candidates to apply for the position of Human Resource Assistant at one of the company’s warehouses, Reload Giga Terminal in Kasumbalesa, to provide a wide range of Human Resources services for one of our warehouses called Reload Giga Terminal in Kasumbalesa.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Handle contractual arrangements for old and new, continuing and exiting staff. Keeping a 100% track of all working Contracts that may come to an end and to ensure that employees do not work past their contract dates.
  • Ensuring that contract renewals are reached timeously at Management level 45 days before expiry.
  • Responsible for preparing the Daily time and attendance report using the Jarrison system and submitting to management on time.
  • Manage staff induction and probation periods of all the staff.
  • Managing Disciplinary issues and hearings at the warehouse. (We have an HR Manager and HR consultant) which to approach for assistance and guidance if needed.
  • Establish personnel files ensuring that all necessary information is available and is appropriately filed.
  • Keeping excellent records of all the days where Piece workers been employed, as well as all payments made to them against a signature and in an accurate daily/weekly order in case a labor dispute should arise.
  • Respond to human resources-related staff queries and concerns at the warehouse and if necessary, escalate to management.
  • Ensure that staff are always in possession of the correct PPE and should any employee lose or cause the PPE to be lost/stolen, the cost of this PPE will be recovered through the payroll and reissued.
  • Ensure that all absence without a reason is deducted from the payroll and appropriate warnings are issued.
  • Ensure the correct leave form is received for all absenteeism’s and sent to the Human Resource department at Head Quarters on time for capturing onto payroll and into salesforce.
  • Act as the link between Management and Employees and immediately forward any Issues and/or Complaints to Management on time where necessary.
  • Always be available on site and liaise closely with the Warehouse Managers and Supervisors
  • Keeping record of all Zambia Police members based at the warehouse premises.

Education/Experience

  • Diploma in HR, Business Administration, or related field.
  • 2 years’ experience as HR Assistant or related experience.
  • A member of the ZIHRM with valid practicing license.

Competencies and Other Skills

  • Good understanding and knowledge of the Zambian Labor laws.
  • Good experience of running the entire recruitment process including knowledge of competency-based interviewing.
  • Ability to discipline, advise and support and where necessary counsel staff on HR-related issues.
  • Ability to always work with minimal supervision
  • Ability to develop and revise policies, Job Profiles, and other human resource systems.
