Position: Human Capital Officer

Location: Lusaka, Zambia

NetOne has embarked on launching new products to the Zambian market and is therefore looking to grow our team!

Purpose of the position:

To provide support to the NetOne Group “Strategic Direction” through formulation/development and implementation of policies, procedures and programs aimed at improving Capacity and Performance of the employees to enable them deliver service excellence to our clients and all stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage all HR operations diligently in a timely and efficient manner
  • Advocate for and implement attitude [and cultural] change within the organization
  • Facilitate implementation of the performance management process across the organization
  • Ensure compliance with Labor laws & other relevant regulations relating to employment and workplace activities
  • Continuously Develop and implement organizational policies
  • Prepare and present regular HR reports
  • Implement Disciplinary practices and system
  • Manage the payroll system, ensure salary equality and fairness is applied across the company.
  • Attend and maintain ongoing employee benefits and compensation strategies in place.
  • Facilitate recruitment of skilled, competent employees in consultation with Management team
  • Organize orientation for all new employees in liaison with line Managers.
  • Maintain and update employees record system
  • Consolidate the training need analysis derived from performance appraisals
  • Continuously update current job descriptions with HODs

The following knowledge, skills, and abilities are required through a combination of formal education, prior experience, or on-the-job training.

  • Must posses:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resource/ Bachelor’s Degree in Business Studies or related area with minimum three (3) years’ experience working in Human Resources Management in a reputable company, OR
  • Diploma in Human Resources Management with minimum 5 years’ experience in Human Resources Management in a reputable company
  • Must have excellent interpersonal, negotiation skills
  • Must be willing to take responsibility and aspire for growth
  • Game changer and effective Team player
  • Computer literate
  • A fully paid member of ZIHRM
