Great North Road Academy, an ever-growing group of schools with Campuses in Lusaka (Avondale, Chilanga, North-end), and Livingstone is seeking a Boarding Patron to join a team of committed and professional workforce at our Boarding Campus in Chilanga, on fulltime basis.
The ideal candidates should have the following qualifications/qualities:
- Grade 12 School Certificate
- Ideally a teaching degree but other relevant qualifications would be considered
- At least 3 years experience in working with young people, preferably in a residential boarding environment
- Capable of maintaining high standards of personal conduct in the boarding houses, in accordance with school policies
- Foster a homely, purposeful and safe atmosphere within the dormitory
- Be proactive in seeking to forge excellent personal relationships with boarders, their parents
- Oversee the pastoral and academic welfare of all students in the dormitories
- Have integrity and good moral fibre
- Possess strong Christian ethics
- Carry out daytime and evening duties as agreed with the Boarding Master
- Carry out weekend duties, on rotation, as agreed with the Boarding Master.
- Excellent Communication skills, both written and verbal
