Electro Mechanic Technician Razel-Bec

Razel-Bec limited, a construction and civil engineering company which is currently undertaking a project of rehabilitating the plunge pool of the Kariba dam in Siavonga Zambia. The purpose of the contract is to perform, on behalf of the Zambezi River Authority (ZRA), works to reshape the plunge pool of the Kariba dam on the Zambezi River, which is a natural border between Zambia and Zimbabwe:

1. ELECTRO MECHANIC TECHNICIAN X 01 (RE-ADVERTISED)

We are looking for an Experienced Electro-Mechanic Technician with specialization in Electrical and mechanic maintenance in a large set up.

Successful candidates will be responsible for:

• Conduct repairs of electronic, mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
• Conduct regular maintenance on machinery, systems, and automotive vehicles.
• Installing, maintenance and repairing heavy duty equipment and industrial machines
• Repairing and replacing faulty wiring or electrical systems
• Identifying and repairing breakdowns, faults and malfunctions
• Manage day to day operations of the Workshop in Liaison with the Foreman
• Keep an accurate log of all work performed

Minimum specifications / requirements areas

• Diploma / Degree in Auto Electrical and/or Mechanic
• Experience in electrical and mechanical maintenance is an added advantage
• Proven experience with pumping and piping systems and open pit dewatering, unplanned repair & installation tasks on plant equipment.
• Minimum 5 years maintenance experience in similar position, in a production, mine or process environment that involved water pumping at an industrial level
• Competency in industrial pipe maintenance and high Knowledge in water pumps repair and maintenance.
• Strong communication and management skills
• Valid EIZ Membership
• Class C Driver’s License, with minimum 2 years Driving Experience.
