Plant Operator Essential Commodities Limited

We are Hiring for an EDIBLE OIL REFINERY PLANT OPERATOR.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1.Safely and efficiently operate unit equipment in oil neutralization ,bleaching and deodorization in the assigned shift.
2.coordinate with maintenance staff on all breakdowns to ensure minimal downtime and always keep the section head informed . Also assist with minor maintenance jobs.
3.Coordinate with boiler house staff to ensure sufficient steam supply .
4.Monitor and adjust process parameters whenever there is need ti ensure production of oil with desired specification.

5.Keep the plant and tank farm clean and safe at all times .Also handle and store chemicals safely.
6. Ensure safe containment of affluent.
7. Perform oil transfers – offload crude oil from tanker, and pump crude oil and refined oil to designated storages.
8.Write and maintain accurate and timely records on production, downtime, equipment status ,and stocks of chemicals used in refinery and affluent treatment.
REQUIREMENTS:
1. Minimum of a grade 12 certificate( with English , Mathematics and Science)
2.Good Knowledge of refinery plant parameters.
3.Good knowledge of refinery plant operations and equipment.
4Good knowledge of Chemical handling and general plant safety precautions.
5.Good knowledge of house keeping , hygiene and sanitation practices.
6. Able to read write and speak English clearly.
7.Able to work in a team.
Excellent communication skills
8. Very good report writing skills.

EXPERIENCE:
Minimum of 2 years operational experience in an edible oil refinery role
