Job Description

Coca-Cola Beverages Zambia works with the world’s most cherished trademark and invests in the most exciting events. Our Office currently has the following opportunity available for a dynamic individual with energy and initiative, keen to impact from the outset.

The position falls under the Human Resources Department and will be responsible for administrative payroll support services to the HR team, line leaders and employees ensuring that the department provides a professional service.

The main responsibilities of the Payroll Administrator are to maintain and update employee records, as well as manage various payroll/HR documentation and internal databases to ensure accurate payroll processing and support to the Compensation & Benefits Specialist. Additionally ensure that employees are correctly linked to the medical aid and retirement fund and process changes in benefits.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

Serving as subject matter expert on Payroll administration related matters.
Ensure that all employees (permanent and temporary)are paid timeously and accurately with due consideration to company policies and procedures, country legislation, corporate governance and service level agreements.
Supports the consolidation and management of payroll Budgets in country.
Monitors, identifies and advises on the impact of new legislation on payroll procedures whenever relevant.
Audit record captures in preparation for submission for review and approval.
Ensuring accuracy of payment schedules sent to third parties.
Adhere to timekeeping and service delivery aligned to internal customer requirements
Ensures compliance with all statutory obligations for PAYE, NAPSA, Workers Compensation, NHIMA.
Ensures accurate reconciliation and payment of all payroll allowances and deductions.
Generation of weekly/ monthly reports on key labour metrices and assist with financial audits related to pay records
Act as first point of contact for payroll related queries
Process new hires and separations/terminations of employment (e.g. retirement, death in service, resignations)
High numerical ability

Skills, Experience & Education

High proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
Conversant with time and attendance and payroll systems.
Highly professional standards of integrity and customer service.
Knowledge of remuneration policies and processes that reward performance.
Ability to effectively engage with stakeholders across the business
Prioritizing work
High numeric ability

Key Requirements

Degree in accountancy/ CA Zambia or fully completed professional accounting qualification.
5 credits of better at grade 12, including English and Mathematics
Minimum of 2 year working experience on payroll in a busy manufacturing environment
