The Company invites applications from suitably qualified and experienced persons to fill the following positions:
1. PHARMACY TECHNOLOGIST (1 POSITION, FRONT LINE MANAGEMENT) – HUMAN RESOURCES DEPARTMENT
The position reports to the Pharmacist in Charge. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that medicine and accessories are available in all Estate Clinics.
KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS
- Order medicines and accessories for the Estate medical services including those on National Essential Drug List, processing medicines orders, submitting drug orders for approval by superior and coordinating buying of medicines with buying office.
- Ensure that Medicines supplied are of acceptable quality standard by purchasing medicines from reputable pharmaceutical companies which are duly registered by the Pharmacy and Poisons Board.
- Maintain stock levels of medicines by keeping up to-date stock control cards and producing drug bulletins for use by prescribers.
- Distribute medicines in all Estate Clinics.
- Prepare Budget for the Pharmacy by listing down medicines/accessories requirement for the whole year, costing medicines/accessories for whole year as per guideline by Management Accountant and Submitting the draft budget for approval by Superior.
- Scrutinise prescriptions issued to patients.
- Prepare Monthly Reports.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
- Grade 12 Certificate
- Diploma in Pharmacy
- Minimum 3 years similar experience
- Fully registered with the Health Professionals Council of Zambia (HPCZ)
- Good Knowledge of Pharmaceutical Companies Act.
- Good interpersonal skills and supervisory capability
2. LABORATORY TECHNOLOGIST – (1 POSITION, FRONT LINE MANAGEMENT) – HUMAN RESOURCES DEPARTMENT
The position reports to the Estate Medical Officer. The successful candidate will be responsible for collecting blood samples from outpatients and ANC Clinics, ordering of Lab reagents and consumables, Lab inventory control to ensure no stock outs and expiries.
KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS
- Collecting blood samples from Outpatients and Antennal Clinics
- Examination and reporting of a wide range of samples from Outpatient department and Antenatal Clinics.
- Compile Laboratory weekly, monthly, and yearly reports.
- Promptly reporting of communicable diseases detected to Public Health.
- Performing internal quality control on Laboratory equipment, reagents and test kits.
- Daily Maintenance of Laboratory equipment and reporting of breakdowns promptly.
- Ordering of Laboratory reagents and consumables from bulk store.
- Laboratory inventory control to ensure no stock outs and expiries.
- Dispatching of samples to referral Laboratories
- Adhere to Laboratory safety and housekeeping Standard Operating Procedures.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
- Grade 12 Certificate
- Diploma in Medical Laboratory Technology.
- Fully registered with the Health Professionals Council of Zambia (HPCZ)
- Minimum 3 years post qualification experience
- Computer literacy is desirable
