Social Media Executive Job Purpose:

Combines marketing and social media management skills to architect and enhance company social media presences, including interacting with customers, promoting brand-focused interactive and engaging content, and expanding opportunities for revenue. Works with social media team members to create innovative social media campaigns.

Job Responsibilities:

Design online social media marketing content
Manage social media accounts (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn and Tiktok)
Company email marketing efforts, including newsletters and automated workflows.
Ownership of all analytics and reporting for content marketing efforts.
Search engine optimization (SEO) efforts for website and content.
Develops engaging, creative, innovative content for regularly scheduled posts, which enlighten audiences and promote brand-focused messages
Research opportunities for new social marketing platforms and select adapt current processes to fit company needs.
Creating landing pages and conversion opportunities for lead generation.
General website updates and enhancements, e.g., new pages and calls-to-action placement.
Professional development and continued education in relevant areas (e.gHubSpot certifications).
Utilising conceptual and design skills to bring ideas to life
Ability to take video footage and photos to aid content creations
A natural creative storyteller with energy, flair and ability to captivate

Conducting research and interviews to learn more about current trends, developments, and perceptions about the subject matter, and then contextualising your findings.
Using social media to engage consumers, respond to questions or complaints, and to promote company initiatives.
Suggesting new ways to promote company offerings and to reach consumers.
An excellent listener and all-round brilliant communicator
Confident with people and comfortable presenting ideas and concepts
Self-starter who’s able to prioritise and work without constant supervision
Managing deadlines and executing on-time and on-task
Staying current with production tool and technology advancements

Qualifications/ Requirements:

Degree in Communications or Marketing, Business Administration, Information Technology, Information Systems or equivalent qualifications
Minimum 2 years experience
Experience with all Major Social Media Platforms
Web Proficiency,
Computer Software Proficiency,
Advertising, Copywriting, Content Creation, Public Relations and Brand Marketing Experience,
Proofreading and Editing Skills,
Interpersonal Skills,
Strong Verbal and Written Communication Skills,
Customer Service Skill.
Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
Ability to work for multiple clients at a time
Must be available to start work at short notice and must be Lusaka based.
