Junior Buyers x2 Jumbo Wholesalers Zambia

Purpose of this role:

To buy products for the company and ensure that administration is correctly carried out.

Job specifications/responsibilities will include the following:

Sales

Ensure that the sales target in line with the business objective.

Conversion

Assisting  the Invoicing department to achieve sales conversion target Member claims

Member/Supplier Management

• Continuously look for business opportunities with new suppliers
• Understand and control of member claims procedures (SCM) and determine the profitability of claims
• High frequency supplier interface
• Manage supplier performance in line with profitability to achieve company objectives – understand and priorities profitable suppliers
• JBP – Top 30 Suppliers
• Focus on  growth for the Top 30 suppliers
• Regular meeting with suppliers to assist them in achieving their targets
• Manage supplier performance in line with profitability to achieve company objectives – understand and priorities profitable suppliers

Buying Portfolio

• Assist with planning of annual national promotional plan
• Planning of specific supplier promo grids in line with national promotional plan
• Negotiating supplier activity by month in line with grid and national promotional plan
• Communicate supplier grids of regional integration

Requirements:

• Min 2 years’ experience in a  marketing role
• Merchandising  related Tertiary Qualification
• Relevant education and /or experience in in-store support in a similar environment in a related role
• Experience working in FMCG .
• Exceptional Communication both written and spoken
• Must be able to work under immense pressure
• Must show willingness to learn and work in a Team environment.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and customer orientation
• Relevant Driver’s License
• Exceptional Communication both written and spoken
• Strong Planning, Organizing and Control skills.
• Attention to detail is required.
• Able to communicate at all levels.
• Self-motivated and confident with high level of initiative
• Computer literacy (Word, Windows, PowerPoint, Excel)
• Understanding of Retail  and wholesale environment
• Ability to work without supervision
