Report to: Value Addition Officer
Job Purpose
This position is responsible for marketing and sales functions of the Value Addition section in line with the overall Company strategies and goals.
Main duties
- Develop the overall sales and marketing strategy
- Monitor and direct the implementation of strategic plans
- Develop an annual branding strategy
- Develop and implement the company’s sales strategy across key market segments.
- Assess, build and manage an array of necessary channels capable of delivering on the company’s growth objectives.
- Plan and drive sales growth for the unit by prospecting, winning and returning key customers.
- Generate maximum business enquires and participate in R&D.
- Maintain relationships with customers and be a point of contact to the customers.
- Plan and execute business plans for key customers in the market.
- Manage the retail and online stores.
- Manage the execution of the company’s social media strategy.
- Oversee the daily sales and manage set targets.
- Manage stock levels.
- Any other duties assigned by the Supervisor.
Qualifications and experience
1. Professional Qualifications
- Grade 12 certificate
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, Business Administration, production management, or any related field
- Member of the Zambia Institute of Marketing (ZIM)
2. Minimum Relevant Job Experience:
Three years’ experience in a similar position in gemmology/jewellery making, jewellery retailing, FMCG or fast paced working environment.

- Budgeting and forecasting skills
- Data manipulation skills (e.g. conversant with MS Excel)
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work to deadlines and within budget
- Problem solving skills
- Negotiating, supervisory and leadership skills

5. Valid Driver’s license
