Description
- This is a heavy equipment mobile machinery (HEMM)
- Operating of heavy earth moving machinery in an effective and efficient manner to optimize productivity whilst complying with all the necessary safety and environmental requirements associated with mobile equipment
- Safe operation of equipment that ensures reliable performance and no damages occur
- Pre-start inspection of equipment to identify any requirements for maintenance or repair
- Efficient operation of equipment to ensure cycle times, fuel consumption, material volume and other target production parameters are achieved
- Participate in maintenance and repair of equipment in collaboration with maintenance personnel and routine washing of equipment
- Completion of production tally sheets, pre-start logbooks and other required documentation
- Comply with the necessary safety and environmental requirements associated with surface mining and support equipment
Requirements
- Full Grade 12 School Certificate
- Certificate of competence on surface mining and support equipment
- Minimum 3 years of operating experience in a similar mining environment
