Business Need/Purpose of Role:

Load, unload and distribute parts to internal/external customers.

Minimum Qualifications:

Matric (Grade 12); or 12 to 24 months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Valid Driver’s license. Valid forklift license. Professional driver’s permit (PDP). Local citizenship

Key Tasks:

  • Picking, binning and loading of customers’ orders
  • Must know roads of main mines in Zambia.
  • Load and unload trucks, pre start-up checks on the forklifts and truck
  • Correct identification of Weir parts
  • Delivery of Weir spares
  • Perform cycle counts on stock
  • Maintain WMCA delivery vehicles and operate with due diligence
  • Any other roles as directed by management
  • Adhere to all HSE and housekeeping requirements at the branch
  • Adhere to Duty of Care Policy at all times

Minimum Skills/Abilities:

Language Skills:

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.

Mathematical:

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.

Reasoning Ability:

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.

Computer Skills:

Microsoft (Excel / Word)

Work Environment:

The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud.
