STOCKS ACCOUNTANT– FINANCE DEPARTMENT (1)

The Required Skills for this Role Include:

  • Ensuring all inventory received, produced and issued have been posted in the system.
  • Ensure system access and training to all staff entering stock data.
  • Ensure accurate and controlled monthly stock takes.
  • Prepare monthly stock take schedules for accounts inventory adjustment.
  • Preparation of monthly variance analysis on all stocks in terms of quantity and value.
  • Ensure accurate reports on production volumes and value and BOM reports.
  • Preparation of Monthly Throughput report.
  • Ensure all inventory claims are followed up with supplier complaint and CRN received.
  • Ensure all invoices due are handed over to Creditors accountant for timely payment.
  • Critical role player between stocks/stores and accounts department regarding all stock items in terms of control, reporting and valuation.
  • Ensure all records are kept and documents are neatly filed.

The Required Qualifications are:

  • Grade 12 certificate
  • Minimum BA in accountancy or Full ZICA/ACCA/CIMA
  • 3 years work experience in the accounts department of a manufacturing or retailing entity.
  • Have tact and diplomacy in dealing with suppliers, customers and fellow employees.
  • Ability to prepare high quality adhoc reports in respect of organisations inventory movement.
  • Basic proficiency in the use of Microsoft Excel, Pastel, Word, Powerpoint and any accounting system.

The Required Attributes Include:

  • Requires a high degree of professional integrity and ability to critically evaluate movements of inventory in terms of their impact on performance of the division in terms of Gross profit.
  • Need to be able to critically analise inventory data in short period of time.
  • Required computer literacy levels
  • Detail-orientated with the technical aptitude and ability to perform tasks accurately and comprehensively
  • Results driven, bias for action and a passion for excellence
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with external customers, management and all levels of associates
  • Ability to work with minimum supervision
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills
