1. Procurement Officer

We are looking for result oriented Procurement Officer to handle purchasing. In this position, the candidate will play a pivotal role in securing high-quality and cost-efficient supplies for our business. He/she will follow procurement procedures, maintain an updated list of current and incoming stock, and be responsible for facilitating the approval of purchases.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

• Create and maintain positive relationships with vendors/suppliers
• Estimate and prepare budget for procurement activities on annual basis.
• Make timely and professional decisions in a complex and dynamic environment.
• Monitor performance of all vendors and suppliers.
• Maintain database for purchasing activities.
• Maintain purchase records and other important data.
• Negotiate pricing and supply contracts through procurement committee
• Ensure that the products and supplies meet quality standards delivered on time at the best price.
• Work with team members to complete duties as needed.
• Research potential vendors.
• Ability to prepare tender documents for goods and services where appropriate.

Qualifications/ Experience and Skills

• Full Grade 12 Certificate
• Diploma in Purchasing and Supply from reputable Institution.
• Members of the Zambia Institute of Purchasing and Supply.
• 3-5 years’ experience.
• Hospital experience will be an added advantage.
• Computer literate and proficiency in Microsoft Office and Purchasing Software.
• Strong communication and negotiating skills.
• Good analytical and strategical thinking skills.
• Attention to Details.
