Job description:

Overall Job Purpose

The purpose of this role is to for manage the day to day Golf and Club experience including the sports facilities, food and beverage and retail experience. Oversees the management and performance of golf shop and applicable department operations and services to assure high standards and total customer satisfaction.

Specific Job Responsibility

Oversee both bar and restaurant operations, including bar and wait staff
Oversee staff’s compliance with all health code and sanitation requirements
Provide exceptional customer service and lead staff to do the same
Respond to customer complaints quickly and resolve them effectively
Planning and designing of menus for all events with the head chef
Develop strategies for improving customers’ experiences
Oversees and enforces the golf shop operations policies, procedures, controls, and fee structures to ensure the safekeeping of assets, inventory and resources.
Planning and implementing of staff rosters
Work closely with the supervisor in coordinating special events.
Preparation of function sheets for special events
Oversees the supervision of the maintenance of golf carts and golf operations
Empowers employees to provide excellent customer service.
Strives to improve service performance.
Displays leadership in guest hospitality, exemplifying excellent customer service and creating a positive atmosphere for guest relations.
Reconciliation of subscription fees with accounts department on a monthly basis
Realise with security on cancelled accounts.
Occasionally plays golf with members of all skill levels to encourage enthusiasm.
Responsible for financial results of the golf club, food and beverage and retail outlet.
Maintaining budgeted beverage cost, wage cost, and supporting the sales efforts to drive top-line revenue.
Reviews findings from guest feedback with employees to develop appropriate corrective action.
Processing staff leave forms and making sure they are sent to HR for action on time
Any other duties as assigned by supervisor

Experience & Qualification

At least 5 -7 years’ related work experience in a reputable organization with. Knowledge in MS Office suite,  POS (Point of Sale Systems), Activity Management Systems and Inventory Software as an added.
Full grade 12 school certificate.
Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, hospitality or food and beverage management
