Head of Tyre Business Brilliance Executive Management Consultancy Limited

Job Purpose

The Head of Tyres Business will be responsible for planning and implementing sales, marketing and product development programs, both short and long-range, targeted toward existing and new markets personally or through subordinates. Take the lead in the developing and maintaining Tyre Marketing activities and awareness to increase coverage and growth among them, launches, presentations and training. Develop and assist in the assignment of individual sales and expense budgets for each Sales Representative in accordance with company goals and budgets. Be the key contact with the manufacturers, suppliers, and trading companies.

Summary of Key Responsibilities;

  • Establish sales objectives by forecasting and developing annual sales quotas for regions and territories; project expected sales volume and profit for existing and new products.
  • Develop sales within the branches but mainly develop and build dealer networks and wholesale distribution.
  • Maintain sales volume, product mix and selling price by keeping current with supply and demand, changing trends, economic indicators and competitors
  • Assist Branch Sales Managers in developing sales strategies and plans to achieve sales and profit goals and motivating related sales associates.
  • Be the key contact with the Tyres manufacturers, suppliers, and trading companies.
  • Develop, analyze and report sales statistics on the number of potential prospects, traffic number of leads, number of quotes, number of sales, number of lost sales etc.
  • Represent the company in trade shows and joint marketing activities with other company brands and/or external partners including making presentations at such forums.
  • Promoting the Company’s safety culture in the Tyres division.
  • Maintain the Company prescribed sales standards with regard to Tyres
  • Manage sales operations, which improves and maintains company and brand image and prestige
  • Work with Branch Sales Managers in ensuring all Tyres marketing and promotional activities and, assigned duties are executed effectively to optimize results
  • Provide ongoing training, motivation, and development of both internal and external sales associates to ensure sales and profits are effectively managed and maintained.
  • Ensure all company compliance with partners, distributors, staff, etc…
  • Provide exceptional customer service to all customers on a daily basis.
  • Collect and feedback on insightful market data and research, competitors’ information, customer feedback, etc..
  • Increase business opportunities through various market routes and find strong and reliable Tyres partners and distributors.
  • Make regular visits to Partners/Distributors. to develop positive working relationships and to educate partners about product portfolios and services offered by providing current information for new products and promotion schemes
  • Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed
  • Plan to ensure achievement of divisional and personal targets, aligning with company sales policies and strategies.
  • Manage, develop, coach, control and motivate the sales force to develop their skill to ensure that a high professional standard is achieved and monthly sales target and KPI target are met.
  • Ensure targets are delivered through people management, performance review, reward and individual recognition
  • Assess the strengths and weaknesses of the sales team and manage the sales program accordingly.
  • Provide on-the-ground support for sales associates as they generate leads and close new deals.
  • Meet with customers to discuss their evolving needs and to assess the quality of our company’s relationship with them

Qualifications and Experience

  • Degree in Business, Sales & Marketing or any Commercial Field
  • Must have a minimum of 5 – 7 years of work experience in Sales and Marketing of Tyres
  • Proven experience in setting up sales distribution channels for Tires service products
  • Must have experience in the Sales and Marketing of International Brand Tyres (i.e. Firestone, Apollo Goodyear, Hankook, Continental, Bridgestone, Dunlop, Pirelli and Michelin)
  • Sales and Supplying of Tyres to NGOs and Government Ministries will be a plus
  • Ability to manage and understand importation cycle / manipulate/play with price calculation and price/margins strategies
  • Must have a basic understanding of the Distribution and Supply Management of Tyres
  • Must have ability to work both independently and cooperatively with our customers and team members
  • Must be willing to travel at short notice
  • Excellent Management skills
  • Able to drive and must have a valid license
