Production Manager B and S Bakery Limited

We are a Lusaka based Bakery seeking to recruit suitably qualified individuals who preferably live within proximity to our Branches at Mount Meru Leopards Hill Road, Mount Meru Kasangula Road and Mount Meru Mumbwa Road to fill the following vacancies.

1.  Production Manager:

Job Duties

  • Planning
  • Coordinating all Production activities
  • Controlling all resources
  • Overseeing the production processes
  • Ordering resources required for production
  • Ensuring adequate stock levels
  • determine the human and material resources required
    manage human and material resources to meet production targets
    make decisions about equipment use, maintenance and procurement
    work out and implement standard operating procedures for production operations
  • Coaching, counselling, and Ensuring health and Safety regulations are met
  • Accomplishing manufacturing staff results by communicating job expectations, planning, monitoring, and appraising job results
    disciplining employees as well as developing reporting procedures and systems
    Initiating, coordinating, and enforcing systems, policies, and procedures.
  • Maintaining staff by selecting, orienting, and training employees
    monitoring personnel and resources and studying methods of implementing cost reductions
  • prepare and maintain production reports
  • monitor and review the performance of staff and organize necessary interventions for improvement
  • estimate production costs
  • set production budgets
  • manage production budgets
  • implement cost control programs
  • ensure efficient collaboration and co-ordination between relevant departments including
  • procurement, distribution, and management
  • Monitoring progress, revising schedules, resolving problems and reporting results of the
  • process flow on shift production summaries.
  • Maintaining quality service by establishing and enforcing organization standards.
  • Ensuring operation of equipment by calling for repairs, evaluating new equipment and techniques.
  • Answering questions and responding to requests.
  • Creating and revising systems and procedures by analyzing operating practices, record-
  • keeping systems, forms of control, and budgetary and personnel requirements
    Implementing change.
  • Maintaining safe and clean work environment by educating and directing personnel on the use of all control points, equipment, and resources
  • Maintaining compliance with established policies and procedures.
  • Maintaining professional and technical knowledge by reviewing professional publications and establishing personal networks
  • Contributing to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.

Requirements

  • Diploma in Production Management
  • Leadership Skills
  • Excellent Communication Skills
  • Knowledge of manufacturing, Production and processes
  • Ability to Use, Repair and maintain machines
  • Ability to minimize Production cost and reduce wastage
