Procurement and Logistics Officer Ref: PR/PR/01/02/12
The incumbent shall support the Stores Manager with tracking international orders, customs and clearance of of imported goods until they are receipted by Stores.
Main duties
- Ensures that all import and export documents are made available to the clearing agent.
- Consults with ZRA customs and tax division on all issues pertaining to CIDRZ imported and exported items/goods.
- Ensures that all imports are cleared on time upon arrival at the port of entry.
- Ensures that all cold chains goods are stored at the right temperature upon arrival at the port of entry
- Ensures that the clearing agent’s invoices are processed for payment within thirty days from date of receipt of invoices
- Ensures that the correct Additional Procedure Code (APC) is used for customs clearing of CIDRZ imports.
- Ensures that the customs clearing report is prepared and shared to the Supervisor on a weekly basis.
- Ensures that all pre-alert documents are stamped and sent to the clearing agent within 24 hours upon receipt.
- Ensures that import permits are obtained from ZAMRA on time to avoid customs clearance delays on reagents and other allied substances
- Tracks and monitors movement of all imported goods until they are receipted by Stores.
- Ensures all logistical arrangements are in place for on time offloading and receipting of goods at the warehouse.
- Ensures all returns for international vendors and export documents are arranged and done well on time.
Main duties
- Full Grade 12 Certificate
- Degree in Business/Commercial /Purchasing and Supply
- Additional qualification in Customs and Clearance in freight and Forwarding is added advantage for this job requirement.
- 3 years relevant work experience
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
