Business Administrator Zambia Nurses & Midwives Multipurpose Cooperative Society Limited (ZNMMCS)

The ZNMMCS was founded in September 2020 with the aim of mobilizing members from among Nurses and Midwives in Zambia and diaspora, to advance an agenda in agriculture, aquaculture, education, real estate, mining, small and medium scale business entrepreneurship in order to create a platform and robust vehicle necessary for achieving livelihoods, income generation and maintaining the dignity of Nurses and Midwives. It is a new cooperative striving to compete with other professional cooperatives.

Business Administrator

The incumbent will be responsible for the daily running of the cooperative in collaboration with the board of directors. We Seek a highly innovative business administrator to quickly move into this space capture the market of professional cooperatives. S/he directly reports to the Secretary General of the Cooperative.

Roles and Responsibilities:

Overseeing and analyzing financial operations of the cooperative

Approving purchases and Expenditures of the cooperative

Mediating between Staff and Members of the Cooperative and the board of directors.

Marketing and promoting the business ventures of the cooperative

Analyzing investment opportunities and giving reports to the board or directors for final decision making.

Drive and supervise positive business growth.

Implementing and supervising all projects of the cooperative.

Introduce and implement innovative short- and long-term business goals.

Negotiate and approve agreements with internal and external stakeholders of the cooperative

Updating status and shares for all members of the cooperatives.

Initiating financial transactions for the cooperative before approval by the Board of Directors.

Giving financial statements every month, quarterly, semiannual and annual.

Able to write business proposals in response to funding opportunities.

Reporting the business for the cooperative, monthly, quarterly, semiannual and annual.

To carry out any other duties assigned by the secretary general of the cooperative.

Experience and Education:

Experience of successfully running a startup company required.

A willingness to learn and be innovative for a start-up company will be considered an asset.

Ability to work with minimal or without supervision.

Must have a university degree in business administration or equivalent.

Excellent written and Verbal communication skills.

Broad business knowledge.

Excellent Financial and accounts skills.

Must have a good command of computer utilization and Microsoft office.
