Finance Assistant (Temporal) ChildFund Zambia

The incumbent will be an understudy for an initial period of 3 months to the Grants Finance Officer position with tasks of mainly assisting in the day-to-day processing of payments in straight2bank and ABSA, reviewing Advance requests and liquidations, Data Entry, and archiving of documentation. The position will also support the circulation of Grants reports for review and submission to the donor.

DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Receive, review, and process all payment requests relating to the grants.

2. Provide support to ensure that all documents are correctly filed, labeled, and secured.

3. Ensure all transactions are processed for payment in banking platforms.

4. Ensure all approved payments are recorded in our financial system.

5. Ensure that monthly reports are processed and submitted

Qualification

Minimum accounting technician qualification i.e., NATECH, CAT, or ZICA Licentiate or Diploma in Accountancy or equivalent.

  • Child Safeguarding: Remain alert and responsive to any child safeguarding risks, acquire relevant knowledge and skills which will enable you to promote strong safeguarding practices, understand the child safeguarding policy and procedures, and conduct yourself in a manner consistent with the Child Safeguarding Policy. Assist partners to adopt and rollout out their own Child Safeguarding policies and processes.
