UP Zambia Human Resources Officer

JOB DESCRIPTION

  • Coordinates with Management on analysing, planning, updating, and plotting the job
  • descriptions for new positions or replacements
  • Coordinate recruitment processes for staff and interns
  • Prepare and issue employment contracts/appointments
  • Maintain staff human resource files
  • Coordinate the conduct of performance monitoring and evaluation cycle of all staff with
  • consultation of Management
  • Assist with any disciplinary proceedings which may arise
  • Coordinate leave and other staff requests
  • Coordinate payroll
  • Conduct capacity assessment for each department and staff and formulate learning and
  • development approaches to level up the competency of staff to be able to meet organizational
  • goals and objectives
  • Coordinate staff training and development, including sessions with external consultants and
  • trainers, and design a learning report for staff who attend training.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, local and national, etc. in implementing HR policies
  • and practices
  • Facilitate the review, processing and release of benefits appropriately due to staff in
  • coordination with Finance
  • Provide recommendation based on reviews and analysis of benefits to staff
  • Develop, review and/or revise manuals and policies on working conditions of staff,
  • performance management, equal opportunities, disciplinary procedures, timekeeping,
  • attendance, etc.
  • Coordinate staff wellness and team-building activities
  • Communicating regularly with staff located outside of Lusaka
  • Assisting with recruiting, orienting, and coordinating volunteers
  • Coordinating with Finance to ensure UP Zambia offices and teams have needed supplies and
  • resources
  • Maintain communication and relationships with property managers of UP Zambia offices

CANDIDATE SPECIFICATION

Experience: 5+ years Education Level: Degree
Qualifications: Degree in Human Resources or related field with experience in a similar capacity, preferably in an NGO.
Software: Proficient in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access), Experience with Quickpack an advantage
Knowledge Required: Human resource administration, auditing, reporting, budgeting, compliance

Job Location: Lusaka, Zambia
Remuneration: Negotiable
