Job Purpose

  • To assist the Contract Manager in all aspects of depot management and relations with all role-players in such a manner that the depot’s business targets are achieved.

Job Input Requirements

Manage Operations

  • Monitor compliance with “daily required delivery”

Manage Depot Finance

  • Compile operational budget in conjunction with Management

Manage People

    1. Discipline
    2. Recruitment and selection
    3. Performance Management practices
    4. Termination of employment
    5. Training and development
    6. Working hours
    7. Remuneration

Manage Customer Relations

  • Meet with customers to discuss performance.

Perform Ancillary Duties

  • Comply with company code of conduct, policies and procedures

Qualifications

  • Tertiary transport management or related qualification

Alternative Prior Experience

  • 3 – 5 years in a supervisory position
