We’re looking for Car Hire Agent to join our team, handling various tasks in relation to car hire. The ideal candidate must be service-oriented, quick learning and has a passion for tourism and transport & logistics.

FairCar Hires and Tours Limited is a premier transport solutions company based in Lusaka. The company focuses on providing tailored travel solutions to various customer segments. These travel solutions include long and short-term car rental and Chauffeur services.

We invite suitably qualified, self motivated, energetic individuals who meet the job profile below to apply for the position of Car Hire Agent.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Attend to customer queries regarding car hire services
Create quotations & invoices regarding bookings
Coordinate all bookings
Prepare all paperwork in relation to car hire services
Handover of vehicles to Customers
Advise customers on the Terms of Conditions of the hire
Advise customer on all matters relating to the Car hire such as travel routes, road and traffic rules and regulations.
Coordinate with auto repair shops to schedule maintenance or repairs for vehicles.
Monitor fleet of vehicles for due servicing, insurance and road tax expiry
Maintain the cleanliness and needs of the vehicle to ensure customer satisfaction
Process transactions of vehicle rental, insurance coverage and processing payments
Ensure accuracy of return date and time on rental agreement.
Inspect vehicles upon return to ensure that everything is in order.
Coordinate with queued customer to reduce wait time and encourage efficient service
CORE COMPETENCIES & EDUCATIONS

Diploma / Degree or equivalent in Transport & Logistics, Tourism & Hospitality, Marketing, Business or Public relations.
Work experience in Transport & Logistics or Tourism is added as advantage
Strong active-listening and verbal-communication skills
Proficiency in problem-solving
Ability to multitask and manage time effectively.
Have an interest in vehicles and have a understanding of basic technical aspects
Possession of valid driver’s license
Ability generate and submit reports.
Demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Excellent skills in English language both verbal and in writing
Be proficient in all MS Office Software
Should be able to work with minimum supervision.
Have the ability to learn quickly and be innovative.
Should be flexible and good at time management and be able to work at various times of the day when need arises.
Demonstrate good technical and analytical skills.
Ability to network and interact with prospective clients.
Strong self-motivation.
Ability to work independently but collaboratively, take ownership of tasks, and think strategically.
