Job Title: Accountant
Location: Lusaka, Zambia (Woodlands Extension)

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Accountant to join our organization based in Lusaka, Zambia. As the sole accountant in our company, you will play a crucial role in maintaining accurate financial records, conducting financial planning, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulations.
Responsibilities:
- Manage day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts receivable, accounts payable, and general ledger activities.
- Prepare financial statements, reports, and budgets, ensuring accuracy and adherence to accounting principles.
- Conduct regular financial analysis and forecasting to support strategic decision-making.
- Ensure compliance with taxation and regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with internal departments to provide financial guidance and support.
- Assist in the implementation and improvement of financial systems and processes.
- Perform reconciliations and ensure timely and accurate month-end and year-end closing activities.
- Assist with external audits and support audit processes.
- Stay updated with changes in accounting standards and regulations.
Requirements:
Studying or completed ACCA Part 2 or CIMA/ZICA equivalent.
- Must be registered with ZICA
- Proven experience in accounting or finance roles.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, practices, and standards.
- Proficient in using accounting software and MS Office suite.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
- Previous experience in a similar role will be an advantage.
