BOILER OPERATOR – (NOVATEK LUSAKA) (01)
The Required Skills for this Role Include:
- Ensuring that there is always sufficient supply of coal and water to ensure that the supply of steam is regular and constant at all times.
- To fully understand what the boiler operator’s duties are, and to certify that these duties are carried out responsibly, as well as physical checks to ensure strict adherence to engineering specifications and safety standards.
- It is also the boiler operator’s responsibility to know and fully understand what the emergency drills are and how to effectively put them into action when needed.
- Is responsible for maintaining a hygienic environment.
- Responsible for maintaining the quality and feed safety management system.
The Required Qualifications are:
- Full Grade Twelve (12) Certificate with Five (5) credits
- Boiler Operator’s Certificate
- Three (3) years of relevant work experience
The Required Attributes include:
- Operating with equipment that is always hot
- Interacts with superiors and subordinates, requiring tact
- Able to read and write in English language
