JOB PURPOSE

Responsible for implementation of Women Banking activities across the bank network and ensuring that Zanaco attains its objective of being a gender smart bank through the various job roles. The senior specialist will serve as the contact person for formulation and execution of the sales strategy for the Women’s Banking proposition.

Under the supervision of the Head Retail Banking the following are among the

 

Job Key Responsibilities:

Drive sales and CVP deepening across the network.
Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders in driving initiatives aimed at growing the portfolio across the network including but not limited to new product planning, product launch, training and sales to ensure effective delivery to customers.
Work closely with internal and external stakeholders in ensuring collateral is readily available in the branch network at all times.
Ensure that post sales activities are managed efficiently as per agreed process with both internal (P&C, IT) and external stakeholders (service provider) this includes the work required around management of standing instructions, premium collections and commission.
Grow liabilities and assets for female customers in all Business segments.
Ensure growth of number of clients on the portfolio and accountable for all financial key performance indicators.
Monitor and track achievements against target for key metrics for all Business segments.
Report in Heads of Business on customer revenue and profitability on a monthly, quarterly, half yearly and year end basis.
Cost Management – Track all expenses arising from activities around the proposition and ensure expenses are within budget.
Work with relevant stakeholders in getting reports used to drive product usage.
Co-ordinate activities and initiatives around staff training to ensure that staff are knowledgeable and practicing Gender Smart Banking.
Work closely with the branch network in delivering the financial and non-financial solutions to Women banking customers.
Spearhead overall CRM Utilization and onboarding target for Retail Banking. Ensure 100% increase in utilization.
Track utilization on monthly basis and award best performing staff Quarterly.
Provide first line support to customers through Womens Banking generic email address, which also serves an avenue for leads generation
Plan and conduct webinars on three information streams on a monthly basis.
Develop an incentive plan and reward high performers.
Collect Market intelligence and suggest CVP enhancements that will inform our Women Bank CVP.
Ensure high internal visibility of the proposition by utilizing the internal channels of communication (Buzz and communication desk).
Clearly define portfolio and identify applicable segments across the Bank.
Work with internal and external partners in securing alliances aimed at growing the transactions in the proposition.
Work closely with all segments, i.e. Business Banking, Digital Banking, CIB and Retail Banking across the bank network in delivering the Women Banking initiatives.
Strengthen the different segment proposition by providing additional services to Zanaco female customers.
Ensure communication on Women Banking matters are managed.
Work closely with all partners in achieving training objectives and that everyone is well vested in understanding how to position Zanaco as a Gender Smart Bank.
Work with appointed champions across the network.
Engage third parties appropriately to ensure they provide the right support to the proposition.
Participate and contribute to the Bank’s strategy in positioning the Bank as a Bank for Women and increasing Women’s Financial inclusion.
Track and Monitor Women’s Banking Pan Bank initiatives.
Any other responsibilities or tasks as assigned by management.

QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE

Grade 12 Credit or above mandatory in Mathematics and English and any other three subjects.
University degree in a Business-related Field or professional qualification from a recognized university.
Minimum of five (5) years in a sales related role.
Ability to leverage key relationships and build networks to work effectively and delivery results.
Strong sales management and organizational skills, Exceptional communication skills, considers diverse perspectives and uses tact to build support of own ideas.
Strong communication, presentation and problem solving skills
Demonstrates Sound knowledge of business conditions, banking and commercial laws and regulations.
