JOBS FOR UNDERGROUND MINING WORKS

1. Mine Manager
Responsibilities:

Oversee and manage all aspects of secondary development in underground mining operations
Ensure safety and compliance with mining regulations
Develop and implement mining plans
Lead a team of mining professionals

 
 
2. Mechanic/Fitter
Responsibilities:

Perform maintenance and repair on drill rigs, scissor lifts & other heavy equipment
Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical issues
Conduct regular inspections and preventative maintenance
Train and mentor junior mechanics

3. Auto Electrician
Responsibilities:

Maintain and repair electrical systems on drill rigs, scissor lifts & other heavy equipment
Diagnose and repair electrical faults
Install and maintain lighting and communication systems
Provide technical support to the maintenance team

4. Shift Boss
Responsibilities:

Supervise and lead a team of miners during shifts
Ensure efficient and safe mining practices
Report production and safety data
Enforce company policies and procedures

5. Drill Rig Operator
Responsibilities:

Operate drill rigs safely and efficiently
Follow drilling plans and instructions
Perform routine maintenance on equipment
Maintain accurate records of drilling activities

6. Scissor Lift Operator
Responsibilities:

Operate scissor lifts in a safe and controlled manner
Perform inspections and basic maintenance
Ensure compliance with safety regulations
Assist with various tasks in underground mining operations

7. Safety Officer
Responsibilities:

Implement and enforce safety policies and procedures in accordance with industry standards and regulations.
Conduct regular safety inspections and risk assessments in the underground mining environment.
Collaborate with mine management and employees to develop and maintain a strong safety culture.
Provide safety training to mining personnel and ensure they are aware of safety protocols.
Investigate incidents and accidents, and develop corrective action plans to prevent future occurrences.
Maintain accurate records of safety-related incidents, near misses, and safety training.
Stay up-to-date with industry safety trends and best practices to continuously improve safety programs.

Qualifications:

Relevant experience in the respective role
Valid certifications (Diploma holders & Above for Manager & Engineering roles)
Commitment to safety and teamwork
Strong communication and problem-solving skills
Must have Silicosis certificate
First Aid training Certificate
Must have at least 3 years experience
