ICT LECTURERS (TWO POSITIONS)
Kapasa Makasa University is inviting applications from suitably qualified candidates who are highly motivated and passionate about making a mark in the education sector to fill the position of ICT lecturer on a full-time contract in the ICT department. The candidate should possess the following qualifications:
Grade 12 Certificate with Five (5) credits or better including English and Mathematics
Holder of a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information and Communication Technology (ICT) or any ICT-related field
Must have at least two (2) years of teaching experience in a tertiary institution, and have scholarly experience
Must belong to a professional body related to the field of expertise and be an active members
Being a holder of an earned PhD in Computer Science or an ICT-related field will be an added advantage
Holding a teaching methodology qualification will be an added advantage.
Responsibilities
To participate in offering computer and ICT courses to students pursuing undergraduate bachelor’s degrees in their respective fields.
Mentor students applying academic knowledge to solve real-life problems as they work their way through their undergraduate programs.
To work with the institution as well as outside professionals in discussing opportunities for coordination research and development.
To review, revise and improve curricula used by the department
Required Skills
Business intelligence development
Intrusion detection and incident response
IoT engineering
Machine learning engineering
Mathematics related concepts
Network security control and threat knowledge
Forensic computing and investigations
Should have programming skills in any combination of C#, C++, Java, Python, Web development, or any contemporary languages.
Writing computer programs and algorithms

The candidate should possess the following qualifications:
Grade 12 Certificate with Five (5) credits or better including English and Mathematics
Holder of a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business, Finance, Computer Science, Information and Communication Technology (ICT) or any related field.
Must hold a Master’s degree in Accounting, Business, Commerce, Finance or any field related to the mentioned.
Must have at least two (2) years of teaching experience in a tertiary institution, and have scholarly experience
Must belong to a professional body related to the field of expertise and be an active member
Being a holder of an earned PhD in Accounting, Business, Finance or any field related to the mentioned ones will be an added advantage
