JOB ADVERT – CONTROL OPERATOR
Aller Aqua Zambia Limited invites applications from suitably qualified candidates to fill the position of Control Operator. The role reports to the Shift Production Supervisor and will be based in Siavonga.
JOB PURPOSE:
The Control Operator will be responsible for ensuring the smooth running of the plant through efficient deployment of key resources of raw materials and labour while producing high quality products, and meeting legal, safety and regulatory standards.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Take daily stock of all raw materials under production.
2. Ensure that all equipment run at rated capacity.
3. Perform first line maintenance of all equipment.
4. Carry out all production activities of batching, mixing, grinding, drying, coating, cooling, sifting and bagging off.
5. Perform material reconciliation to keep track of materials losses, variances and daily reports to the production Manager.
6. Ensure that all products produced conform to AAZ standards.
7. Prepare and submit daily reports of productions operations.
8. Maintain good house keeping and safety standards at all times.
9. Assist in the establishment and implementation of good manufacturing practices.
10. Participate in daily, weekly and monthly stock takes, assist in variance investigation.
QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:
- Full Grade Twelve School Certificate (GCE).
- Diploma in Production and Operations Management or Science/Engineering discipline
- Clear and concise communication skills, both verbal and written.
- 3 years minimum experience in a Feed milling Industry.
- A thorough knowledge of running computerized feed mills using ASYCUDA systems is essential.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
