JOB DESCRIPTION
Project Technical Appraisal – Undertakes effectively the technical appraisal of off grid renewable energy projects in order to facilitate project identification.
Site Assessment and Selection – Undertakes effectively the assessment and selection of project sites in order to facilitate the commencement of projects.
Project Planning – Undertakes effectively the planning of off grid renewable energy projects in order to guide programme implementation
Infrastructure Design – Undertakes effectively the design of infrastructure of off grid renewable energy projects in order to ensure they meet organisational standards and objectives.
Technical Standards – Undertakes effectively the development and monitoring of technical standards for off grid renewable energy projects in order to ensure compliance to set standards.
Project Tender Specifications – Undertakes effectively the preparation of technical specifications for the tender of off grid renewable energy projects in order to facilitate conformity to expected standards.
Environmental and Social Impact Assessment – Undertakes effectively the coordination of environmental and social needs assessment of off grid renewable energy projects in order to facilitate contribution to sustainable development.
Quality Management Systems – Undertakes effectively the implementation and maintenance of quality management systems in order to ensure compliance to set standards.
Risk Management – Undertakes effectively the preparation and updating of the sectional risk register in order to ensure effective management of risk.
CANDIDATE SPECIFICATION
Experience: 6 years plus
Education Level: Degree
Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or its equivalent
Software: Computer literate
Knowledge Of: Planning of off grid renewable energy projects
Skills To: Interpersonal, Emotional Intelligence, Confidentiality, Integrity, Analytical
Ability To: Write analytical and technical reports, communicate effectively in English and make technical decisions
Other Requirements: Member of the Engineering Institution of Zambia
