Lumwana Mining Company seeks to recruit a highly motivated and committed employee for the position of Mine Dispatcher to join the versatile Mining Dispatch team. We are in search of an individual who can champion Barrick’s DNA by:

Reporting to the Mine Dispatch Coordinator, you will be responsible for supporting the aims and goals of the Mine Dispatch section by ensuring adherence to LMC’s dispatch management processes in accurate recording of production, equipment availability and utilization.
Your duties will include but are not limited to the following:
Providing information to Coordinators and Supervisors that drives productivity and ensures maximum production and productivity.
Take a pro-active approach to performance improvement by monitoring and analyzing production data and determining improved methods of working.
Liaise with the Production Engineers to ensure that short term production goals are achieved through correct equipment allocation.
Ensure that all production data is captured accurately and validated throughout the shift and ensure that the data is available in a timely manner for daily KPI reporting.
Uphold & reinforce the safety principles of the mine site by always acting in a safety conscious manner and encouraging all personnel to work safely.
Responsible for the correct and optimal use of the Hexagon systems: OP Pro FMS, Operator Alertness System (Fatigue), High Precision GPS, Reverse Assist and Collision Avoidance System.
Ensure accurate recording of machine production and availability of data by constant monitoring of the Hexagon systems.
Interact on continued basis with the field production supervisors and assist with making good production decisions to maximize production and ore recovery.
Work Closely with Dispatch Supervisor, Dispatch Coordinator, Engineer, and Trainer to ensure minimal delays occur during the shift.
Provide hourly updates to mining operators and encourage under performers to increase productivity.
To be considered for the position, you must meet the following requirements:
Minimum of full Grade 12 School Certificate.
Must have a Certificate in Information Technology or any other relevant qualification from a recognized University.
Minimum 2 years’ experience in a similar role.
A Degree or Diploma in Mining or related engineering discipline is an advantage.
Strong operational background in Mining Equipment Operation in Open pit environment.
Ability to understand mining equipment optimization concepts (sense of productivity).
Must have communication and computer skills in MS Word and Excel
