Position Title: Intern – Country Office Operations
Contract Type: Internship (6 months)- March/April to July/August 2025.
Location: Lusaka, Zambia
Work Schedule: 5 days a week (Monday to Friday)
Job Purpose:
The Intern will provide support to the Country Office operations across various projects, assisting with administrative tasks, project activities, and coordination efforts. This role is designed to offer a recent graduate the opportunity to gain practical experience in the health and development sector, working with a dynamic team on impactful initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
Administrative Support:
- Assist with day-to-day office operations, including managing correspondence, filing, and maintaining records.
- Support the scheduling of meetings, workshops, and events across different projects.
- Provide secretarial support during meetings, including taking minutes and following up on action points.
Project Support:
- Assist in the implementation of project activities under the guidance of project leads.
- Help with data collection, analysis, and reporting as required.
- Provide logistical support for project-related travel, workshops, and stakeholder engagements.
Communication and Liaison:
- Assist in drafting emails, letters, and reports for internal and external stakeholders.
- Coordinate with project teams and stakeholders to ensure timely communication and updates.
Research and Documentation:
- Support the development of project documentation, including concept notes, reports, and presentations.
- Conduct background research to support project activities and organizational initiatives.
Qualifications and Experience:
- A recent graduate (1-3 years) with a degree in Public Health, Social Sciences, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Strong interest in health and development work.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- High attention to detail and organizational skills.
