Lubambe Copper Mine Limited (LCML) owns and operates the Lubambe underground Copper Mine located in Chililabombwe District of the Copperbelt Province in Zambia. The Mine which commenced operations in 2012 is situated approximately 468 kilometres North of the Capital City of Lusaka, 152 Kilometres from Ndola and approximately 40 Kilometres from Chingola.
Lubambe Copper Mine sits on an area of approximately 58.1 square kilometres and comprises an existing underground mine, characterised by two distinct limbs (the East and South Limbs) and a processing Plant with a capacity to process up to 2.4 million tonnes per annum.

LCML seeks to employ an experienced and qualified individual in the following position:
BOILER MAKER (X1)
This position reports to the Foreman.
Core Purpose of the Position:
To perform skilled boiler making activities in order to maintain, service and repair plant equipment.
Key Performance Areas/Indicators (KPA/Is):
- Conduct risk assessments on every task undertaken.
- Ensure health, safety and environmental and quality standards are maintained.
- Follow laid out work safety, maintenance procedures and fill in appropriate task checklist.
- Be responsible for inspection of works done by assistants.
- Assist foremen in all fabrication, welding and erection works.
- Ensure quality standards are followed.
- Ensure good house keeping in the work area.
- Perform other related duties assigned from time to time by the supervisor.
Academic Qualifications, Experience & Personal Attributes
- A full Grade 12 School Certificate.
- Minimum of a craft certificate in metal fabrication and welding.
- Member of Engineering Institution of Zambia.
- Ability to weld using stick welding machine and mig welding machine.
- Able to cut using oxy acetylene equipment and angle grinder.
- Able to work at heights and confined spaces.
- Ability to multi task and set priorities effectively.
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in Metallurgical processing operations.
- Ability to train others.
