Lubambe Copper Mine Limited (LCML) owns and operates the Lubambe underground Copper Mine located in Chililabombwe District of the Copperbelt Province in Zambia. The Mine which commenced operations in 2012 is situated approximately 468 kilometres North of the Capital City of Lusaka, 152 Kilometres from Ndola and approximately 40 Kilometres from Chingola.
Lubambe Copper Mine sits on an area of approximately 58.1 square kilometres and comprises an existing underground mine, characterised by two distinct limbs (the East and South Limbs) and a processing Plant with a capacity to process up to 2.4 million tonnes per annum.

LCML seeks to employ an experienced and qualified individual in the following position:
ELECTRICIAN (X1)
This position reports to the Foreman.
Core Purpose of the Position:
Maintenance of all surface electrical equipment including Surface Substations, MCC’s and all Fixed Plant Installations.
Key Performance Areas/Indicators (KPA/Is):
- Conduct risk assessments on every task undertaken.
- Ensure health, safety, environmental and quality standards are maintained.
- Follow laid out work safety, maintenance procedures and fill in appropriate task checklist.
- Complete all job card work orders and hand in for processing daily.
- Ensure that provisions of mining and environmental regulations are observed and enforced in areas of operations.
- Follow schedules of maintenance as issued by the Planning department and adhere to weekly, monthly and scheduled maintenance plans.
- Carry out inspection on allocated section in the surface fixed plant.
- Ensure all electrical installations comply with Lubambe standards.
- Perform other related duties assigned from time to time by the supervisor.
Academic Qualifications, Experience & Personal Attributes:
- A full Grade 12 School Certificate.
- Minimum of a craft certificate in Electrical.
- Member of Engineering Institution of Zambia.
- Good team player and able to coordinate work with the processing team and other engineering trades on the job site.
- Ability and desire to keep up to date with technological developments in the field.
- Ability to multi task and set priorities effectively.
- Minimum 3 years’ experience.
