SUMMARY

You will be responsible for the development of strategic themes in client account management, along industry or market lines etc, and for the creation of an environment conducive to successful Client relations. You will also be responsible for maintaining and increasing the value of a portfolio of accounts by the renewal of current business and conversion of additional business opportunities from current clients. You will also be the claims focal point for clients and their insurers, facilitating claims solutions and building relationships between all parties.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

Underwriting

Maintain and increase the value of a portfolio of accounts by the renewal of current business and conversion of additional business opportunities from current clients.

Account maintenance
Maintain service delivery according to the service plan.

Account Development
Ensure service delivery to agreed standards for a portfolio of prospects; act as the focal point of contact for prospects up to receipt of quotation from market.

Contract definition (coverage design)
Analyse clients` coverage needs, collect and analyse relevant information to identify potential risk transfer solutions, prepare market submissions.

Coverage advice
Provide advice to clients and colleagues on the scope of coverage available for different products to establish the appropriate product that meets the clients` coverage needs.

Debroke, technical and quality check
Ensure a full technical and quality check has been completed on all work. Liaise with colleagues on any issues arising.

Preparation of insurance documentation produce all insurance documentation for negotiation and confirmation of coverage

Quality control of coverage design
Review and quality check insurance documentation at a pre-determined stage in the process to establish whether the selected product accurately reflects clients` coverage requirements.

Renewal Diary
To be responsible for controlling and monitoring the Business Unit renewal Diary.

Reporting

Provide management information for review at Business Unit and Accounts meetings.

Risk file maintenance
Establish and maintain risk placement files, ensure all risk information is accurate, complete and up-to- date and distribute information to appropriate individuals when required.

Service co-ordination
Work with other professionals on an individual account or a portfolio of accounts to ensure that relevant information is shared among appropriate individuals and required actions are taken to meet clients` needs.

New business development (prospecting)
Initiate and close new business opportunities from potential new clients, network and manage client relationships within and outside Marsh.

Team diary
Ensure items that need to be monitored with the use of a diary system e.g. Statistics, Facility Premium levels etc, are actioned by the Team Leaders and team. Diary to be reviewed daily, weekly or monthly, as appropriate.

Team meeting
The Business Unit will hold weekly minuted meetings. The team will review the KPIs, customer service, process, people and compliance.

You shall submit a business report in a prescribed manner at the end of each month.

To be responsible for the timely and high quality of work delivered to clients and insurers

Accounts Receivables

Collect accounts due on time and maintain an accurate record of recovery effort. You shall also notify COO of problematic collections.

Claims

Develop relationships with key clients and insurers.

Agree and set up a claims reporting and handling procedures with clients and insurers

Prepare and issue claims procedure guides to clients to cover all classes of claims being handled.

Inform COO of all unresolved claims on a regular basis.

Attend client claims review meetings in accordance with the service plan.

Presentation of claims reports to clients, with technical support where necessary.

Be a referral point for problematic, technical claims, large losses or where there are indemnity issues. Assess most appropriate personnel to resolve taking into account possible Marsh revenue opportunities.
