Job Summary

We are looking for a talented WooCommerce developer to create and execute eCommerce-based capabilities for our client’s websites and web apps. This position will need both back-end and front-end development, configuration of WooCommerce themes and plugins, as well as system integration, migration, maintenance, enhanced enterprise security, and the development of custom plugins and themes. As a WooCommerce developer, you will work closely with our client management team throughout the web development process. You will collaborate with our in-house developers, engineers, and designers to translate UI concepts and requirements into clean, usable code. Your intelligent input will aid in the development, expansion, and maintenance of numerous WooCommerce-powered sites.

Responsibilities and Duties

Programming, developing, website coding, and producing data-driven web applications, websites using WordPress and WooCommerce.
Conducting website performance tests.
Collaborate with designers, developers, and project managers on client projects.
Consult with clients as needed.
Contribute to the development of the company special projects.
Manage your own time & development between multiple projects & clients to meet deliverables.
Follow and contribute to our internal standards.
Keep up on the latest trends and best practices in web development.
Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications & Skills

Prospective candidates must have the following:

A minimum of a bachelor’s degree in any IT/Computer Science-related field.
5+ years solid project-level experience with WooCommerce and WordPress.
Previous experience in e-business, online B2B/B2C, setting up any type of e-commerce website, including multivendor, subscription-based, variant products based, bundled-based products, order-fulfilment based and shipping & tracking based eCommerce.
Experience in designing, developing and integrating web-based applications.
Good understanding of Object-Oriented Design and design patterns.
Experience in payment gateway integration.
Knowledge in web application security and vulnerability prevention, detection, blocking and patching.
Experience in user documentation and training.
Specific Requirements

Excellent knowledge of WooCommerce and WordPress as well as knowledge of WordPress/WooCommerce Core & WordPress/WooCommerce API.
Excellent knowledge of HTML5, API’s, JavaScript / jQuery, CSS3.
Experience creating custom themes for use with WooCommerce, including accommodating full user editability and plugins that require theme customization – we rarely work with prebuilt themes, so it is important to have the ability to create complex setups from scratch.
Familiarity with various commonplace and proven plugins such as Advanced Custom Fields, Contact Forms 7, The Events Calendar, Elementor, and Visual Composer.
Experience with creating custom WordPress plugins.
Thorough understanding of custom post types and taxonomies.
Working knowledge of PHP and MySQL.
An understanding of programming security best practices.
Good understanding of website architecture and aesthetics.
Experience maintaining version control using Git.

Excellent command of written and spoken English, as well as good presentation skills.
