A tungsten inert gas (TIG) welder is someone who assembles and welds metal parts for use in manufacturing or construction projects. The duties and responsibilities of a TIG welder include ensuring the quality of metal parts before assembling them, reading and interpreting blueprints, and observing safety procedures.

N-Frasys Private Limited is looking for a qualified TIG welder with enough experience to work for the company.

Responsibility

  • Weld components together and fabricate or repair products in accordance with layouts and blueprints using MIG and TIG welding equipment.
  • Weld items using TIG and MIG equipment and tools, bend cut and hammer pieces to fit the correct production piece.
  • Used grinders to get paint off of steel an tack an weld plate back in place using FCAW & SMAW processes.
  • Machine stainless, aluminum or plastics to specific tolerances according to blueprint specifications.
  • Weld metal parts with gas welding equipment as specified by layout, welding diagram, or work order.
  • Aid in positioning parts in jigs and fixtures on bench and floor, and clamping parts together along layout marks.
  • Salvage repair of aluminum casting after inspection.
  • Weld trailer frames together after they have been fabricate and tack weld, grinding and smoothing where need, keep warehouse organize
  • Work in inclement weather conditions while wearing appropriate PPE and following OSHA safety guidelines.
  • Weld inspections for defects and cosmetics, robotic welder set ups, removing splatter, adhering to proper PPE and safety.
  • Preform various weld repairs on ISO containers as well as frames.
  • Clamp components parts to obtain require configurations and position for welding.
  • Assemble, align, and clamp work pieces into holding fixtures to bond, heat-treat, or solder fabricate metal components.
  • Lay out super/reheat headers for removal, lay out cutline and demo reheat/super panels.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 2 years welding experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
  • Certificate in metal fabrication is an added advantage.
  • Familiarity with common welding tools and procedures, including MIG welding TIG welding, metal fabricating, grinding, and finishing metals.
  • Ability to stand, crouch, and occasionally lift heavy equipment
  • Blueprint reading and knowledge of common welding symbols.
